Such a privalage to capture this. A golden eagle feeding on a pine marten in cold and windy Norway. Taken just before sunset. Eagle was baited.

Wow! I'll bet that was a fight!!
Good photo showing lots of emotion!
I might be tempted to remove or darken the limb that intersects with the eagles right wing. It competes with the awsome look on the eagles face.

That is the most amazing picture I have seen! What an incredible amazing picture of a regal bird with a pine marten snack. Outstanding.....

Hi Edwin,
This is really a superb shot with an amazing opportunity, and I like the way you describe the experience as a privilege, as surely it was indeed :^)
Although some might totally disagree with this, I'm with Richard's opinion insofar as cloning out the branch that connects with the Eagle's right wing, as I believe this would make an already brilliant photo into an even more powerful image.
One more small suggestion, in the hope you don't mind: Although from what I can see you weren't able to get any catchlights in the subject's eyes, I think it might be possible to enhance them a bit more with some selective lighting.
Whatever the case, this is certainly a picture to be proud of as it, very well done :^)
Kind regards,
Ashley

From the twisted branches to the wild expression this is a powerful image. Gotta ask, what was the eagle baited with, the marten?

Hats Off too you Edwin, I have never photographed either of these spieces and you have them both in one shot.
