Harvest Moon

This barn at the top of this knoll in the flat land in the Midwest has been a project of mine for several months. I tend to try and catch it at different times of the day and year to convey the different moods of the seasons. I happened to catch the moon over it this early morning this past fall.

This is a composition of two vertical photos taken one right after the other.

Canon 7D
500mm f4 IS @ f 16
1/45, ISO 200 for both

minor USM in CS4

Mitch - this reminds me of something I tried to do with a little hill I am very drawn to. I like it a lot. It's simple (in the best sense of the word) but drew my attention - if I am going to be picky, then I'd like the moon to be a bit less vertically aligned with the barn - if you could get a similar shot, with the moon a bit more to the right of the barn, then I think it would just balance that bit better.

I like the golden field and how it contrasts with all that blue sky. My initial reaction is that I'd like less sky between the barn and the moon, but as I look longer I can see how your approach makes the barn seem more isolated and works well with the small strip of land in the foreground.

I agree with the previous comments. My own preference would be to have less sky between the barn and the moon, if that was possible.
