Superb! Perfect angle and really crisp. Really stands out well against that blue sky. On the larger version, I wonder if you've maybe overdone the sharpening a little, especially round the face.

Cracking shot and pose. Perhaps the file size is too small in the large version?

Great shot Pete. :toast: :toast:

For posting a larger version, I do a separate version, rather than just increasing the size of the 720px version. For USM, at 1200px, I use 100% at radius of 0.2 between 3 and 5 times.

Hi Pete - super angle that shows that feather detail fantastically on the smaller version - not sure if the larger one is a reprocess of the original as its lost some detail which is a shame....

Looks very nice and I like the angle / positioning...agree with comments reference the larger version. Dust spot to left of frame near right wing tip.

Thanks for the comments much appreciated.
With the larger version I just resized the jpeg which in fact had originally been processed at 850 longest side which may account for the problems.
I have reprocessed specifically for the larger size but cant work out how to repost the larger one.
the first one was sharpened using usm similar to Oscars settings but I am trying to get used to NIK sharpener pro and the new larger version is sharpened with nik.
I got the dust spot on the larger version.
Thanks to all who commented, much appreciated.
