Winter's Grace
by Chris Chamberlain
Winter is suppossed to be harsh, but when I see scenes like this, it makes me feel warm and fuzzy all over. Now I wish I had taken a set of horizontals to stitch vertically for this, but didn't. Also, it isn't compressing as nicely as I'd hoped. The snow covered tree up front is carrying lots of brownish red leaves from fall. The granite wall here is El Capitan. I'd love to hear your thoughts.

you really need to take a rest and move to the Jersey Shore for a while, im tired of not being able to bad-mouth your posts!
What Stan said. Man when you're hot, you're hot. Keep riding the wave because we are certainly enjoying what you are showing.
No changes from me.
What a place to photograph in the Winter!
Is the valley road open all year long ? (or do you have to snow shoe to some spots ?)
- Dan
Matt, The roads through the valley are plowed and open all the time to my knowledge. There are still places that are far enough from the raod that snowshoes or skis would be useful. Sometimes in severe conditions, getting to the valley might include some temporary road closures for a day or two or three. I had my snowshoes with me, but just plowed through without them for this last trip. Probably would have been more comfortable if I'd used them, but oh well.
Thanks
Gary.
Really nice work!

You're killing me! Another spectacular image of the Valley in Winter. I love the comp - everything about this including the warmth of El Cap. Color and processing look spot on. No nits or suggestions. One day soon I hope to see this in print!
