This is a shot of a single seed from a Butterfly Milkweed (Asclepias tubarosa). It was attached to the seed pod by a few threads, which allowed me to isolate it from the cluster of other seeds. The biggest challenge was to get enough DOF so that most of the threads were sharp without getting too much structure in the background. This could and maybe should go in macro, but I like the flower to be aspect. (5D, 100mm f2.8 macro, 1/80 @ f/13, iso 400, cropped to square)

Mark: It belongs right here. One of my favorite subjects and superbly done. I like your DOF decision and how you filled the frame. These are really pretty small seeds so I appreciate the difficulty of getting a good set up. Most excellent.>=))>

Beautiful shot Mark! Something I've tried to pull off several times to no avail! I really like your perspective and DOF.

I like the perspective of this image. I is a different view of a seed shot then I have seen before. Well seen and well shot.

Very beautiful! Love the detail here of this small seed.
Some of the whites look hot , but since no one else has mentionned it, it is probably just this laptop which has not bee calibrated for awhiile.
Nice detail and colors.

This is wonderful, Mark. The dof and detail are great and the background doesn't intrude at all. I am most impressed. Very nicely done

Up close and personal. I like it. I like the square format and the seed going wall to wall. Very well done.
