Bert,

First of all, welcome to NPN! This is a very nice first post with some sweet light and nice, rural setting. Looks like a tire or something on the fence post - I'm kinda wishing there was a "no trespassing" or "keep out." But that's not really important here. I like the light and the reflection caused by the flooded field. You've got a complimentary sky working here which helps the overall scene.

Nice first post, but I'm going to have to move this to the Man & Nature Gallery. Just an oversight on your part being your first post, but the Landscape/ES&S gallery should exclude the "hand of man." I hope that makes sense and you understand. Please feel free to drop one of the moderators a note if you have any questions.

Welcome aboard. We look forward to your images and participation.

Lon

Technically, I'm kinda wanting the brights to be a toned down a little. I think that would even help boost the color/saturation a little bit.

Hey bert, Nice reflections of the fence and trees in the pond. I would like to see the trees allowed a little more room. It seems like they are crowding the borders. Good colors.

Welcome! I am new here, relatively, as well. I like this first post, its great! Love the light, and the reflections. Just about everything I shoot has the hand of man, so hope you dont mind my company! I think the horizon is off horizontal by about 3 degrees or more, though.

Welcome to NPN, I think you'll have a great time seeing, commenting, and posting. You've got wonderful lighting here as well as an interesting sky and a great reflection. I would like to see this with the camera position a little higher. That way there would be more blue water between the top of the main section of fence and the grasses behind it and I wouldn't have to work so hard to tell where the fence ends and the grass begins. Nice first post.
