Diablo Ninebark blossom

This is a just-opening flower on the Diablo Ninebark bush. The leaves stay a nice maroon color through fall.

Canon Rebel T1i. 90mm macro lens at F/9 for 1/80 sec. ISO 400.

I like the POV and comp on this one Carolyn. The processing gives a mood of pending rain. Wonderful image for my tastes.

Carolyn: The single open blossom makes this shot for me. Excellent whites and a superb presentation. >=))>

This is great, Carolyn! The single open blossom is a great point of interest, and the image wouldn't be nearly as effective if all the flowers were open. I love the soft depth of field, and the bit of leaf detail. Very nice color, too. Love it!

Very fine work Carolyn. The blossom and buds are beautiful but I think I like those dark leaves just much. Great control of the dynamic range in the image for my tastes.

Excellent DOF. The single blossom makes the image very nice. Well captured Carolyn.

The color is really poppin' in this image Carolyn and I like the darkness of the leaves which really adds to the contrast of the image.

Great "eye" to catch the one open flower. That makes the shot. BG is a tad noisy, but that's probably because of the ISO 400. :toast:
