Beautiful looking bird. I really like the composition and the stare. The water drops of its bill really add to the image as the waves do too. Well done.

Very powerful image Simon. The color, the dof, the sharpness, the water drops, the way the bird is sitting in the water, the look on its face are all superior. Just a great image.

Love the waves and the eys are well placed. The wave in the front seems to guide my eyes right to the birds. Nicely done

Gorgeous detail, I like the icy blue water and the colors are nice and bold. Perhaps f/8 or f/11 would have served you a bit better but you would have had to crank the ISO higher

What a face-on view of this bird. Love the water droplet from the bill. Very interesting eyes on this one.

Love the way he is plowing through the water and the drop off the bill. Very nice indeed.

I don't know how you managed to do this without getting wet yourself but it is a great shot. That water drop adds a lot.

Looks kind of like a ship cruising in rough seas, excellent shot and I really like the vertical crop. I might be inclined to take just a little off the bottom where the OOF water is but a minor item, wonderful detail on the larger version, nice job in getting this, well done.

Never seen this one before. The details are great with the droplets and the eyes, but I particularly like the head-on view of the bill coloration. Very striking.

Great detail, Simon. I like that head on pose showing both eyes and the water dropping from it's bill is great.

Not a sea bird man but a great shot.
Good stuff- very "nautical" feel to this.
