We have many walking-sticks on our ranch..particularly the large ones (10+ inches)

Here is one of our residents pondering life on our window.

Hope you like this as much as my frog reflection :wavey:

By the way, as with the frog...this is his real reflection...not a PhotoShop effect. :wavey:

This shows the relative size of these guys. The distance from the heel of my hand to my middle finger is 7 inches. So, without his antennae, he's around 10 inches.

terrible snapshot. But gives you an idea of scale.

Very interesting bug and so big! I like the comp you chose for this with the center placement of the horizon and the bug and his reflection. Wish the focus was clearer.

Interesting image, Lucy. I like the reflection alot. That seems to be where your focus was and it makes an unusual comp.

Very interesting. I can relate to the size. I was walking back to a motel in Corsicana, TX from the office one night back in the 70's and encountered a beetle about half this guy's size. The light was dim, so I'm not sure what it was, but it was only time I can remember backing down to a bug. Love to see more of them.
