This look spectacular and the B&W conversion is very nice. I could do without the fence at the bottom, but in every other respect this is a home run. Wonderful image!

Danny,
Was this taken from the top of a 42 ( some type of GM ) woodie on a platform? Either accidentally or otherwise this angle is almost exactly the same as another BW photograph taken in 1944. Your POV is a little farther north but Whitney lines up almost the same with the Alabama hills. This is not necessarily a bad thing this is a very well done conversion. You may have moved this direction to exclude the thing that the other photographer from 44 considered an eyesore which he burned out of every print. The LP on the leftmost hill( in fact you can see just the hint of it in your image midframe at the extreme left). Actually it is very interesting that the scene has not changed that much in over 60 years. Although it's cattle in the pasture now and not a solitary horse. Fence doesn't bother me my eye is drawn to the majestic Sierra Front.
Well done.
Paul

The conversion looks great, what a classic and strong view of this fabulous peak. There is some noise in the sky that jumps out at me, that should be an easy fix. The composition here is wonderful.
