Buzzard (Baited)
Working back on these again is great. Just off out for another days session. Its quite good really as I have a finch feeding station to the right of the hide so there is always something to do if no "biggies" arrive, Costing a fortune in chicks and mincemeat though.

Great shot John :toast: :toast:
Out of interest, how far away were you from it?

Thanks Oscar. Thought Buzzards weren't the flavour of the month
This one was from a hide which we built 10 years back and the stump was about 20 ft away.
You wouldn,t normally get away with being that close but this was after years of work.
The one I worked today is a lot farther away and is a much more nervous bird. It all depends on how hungry they are too. It can often be up to 7 hours in the hide and with no results! Like today ! One golden rule - if you move the lens or spook these wild birds you can forget it for a long time !!

Stunning, I am amazed if people do not like buzards  everyone must appreciate the time taken in getting a shot though and I am sure a lot of people would be envious of this, including me

They are simply amazing, love em all. Ours don't tend to come down once the snow has gone so you are a lucky chap! Well done, excellent detail.

Cracking shot of a species thats very tricky to photograph, sweet light too. Looks like the hard work has paid off, John.
