Olympus E-5, 300mm x 2.0TC, tripod
f7.1, 1/200, ISO1600

A fairly difficult to find flycatcher. Buenaventura Reserve, Southern Ecuador. Very low light under a thick canopy and heavy cloud cover.

Brightened a bit and selective sharpening of the bird. 50% of full-frame.

C & C, please. Thanks for looking.

For the conditions you were shooting in this is very nice. Noise is evident at Iso1600, but still a nice look at this little flycatcher. Sharon

Jim,

This is a fantastic environmental shot! Love how the circular pattern in the green vine mimics the shape of the bird's eye. Bird looks like its posing for the photo. I really enjoy all of the textures in this image as well as the beautiful rich colors.

Love these forest Flycatchers with their eyes that stand out. Nice pose; I somehow detect very slight motion blur even at 1/200. Maybe it's an illusion.
