This is my 2nd take on working this gerbera. A bit different POV plus different background.

D7000
150mm macro

I'm out of town and didn't bring the exposure specs  so I'll add those when I get home.

Comment and critiques welcome.

Made it home so here's the exposure info:
ISO 100
f9
1.6 seconds

Love the space and the pink against the black bg Steve. It's the curve in the stem though that really makes the image work for me. Beautifully done for my tastes.

The base of the bloom really catcheds my eye on this one. Well done Steve.

I like the use of empty space in this comp. Great out-of-the-box portrait.

I like the contrast of the pale flower against the black background. This picture is quite beautiful in its simplicity.

Nicely captured the pink flower against black BG. IMO there is too much black at the left side. Slight cropping would help. Well done Steve.

Beautiful lighting, and the black BG makes for a very elegant portrait! Hard to choose between the two, they're both wonderful in their own way.

Steve,
I like the light, how the flower stands out very well from the dark background and the comp too. Well done. :toast:

I think there are several flowers where the POV from the rear is really neat and this is one. Great composition and it really pops on the dark BG. Well done Steve!!!

This works almost as well as the first one, but on a different level. Way to work the subject!
