White-throated Sparrow

We've had some snow melt over the last week although the weather has been rather drab. I ventured out to a dairy farm about a mile from my house. I received permission to the property and was hoping for a few Eastern Bluebirds. This White-throated was the only offering, deep in a thicket.

Very nice image of a White-throat. I like the comp and the colors. It creates a very nice mood.

I guess it's the dreary weather and dull lighting and colors, but to me it has a painting like look to it that I really like, especially when viewing the larger version. I also like the head turned back pose and the habitat.

Most of the branches are OOF and that makes the bird stand out nicely Chuck. Dull light is fine and this worked out well. Nice head turn too.

Nice job in such difficult light, I like the head turn and placement of bird within the branches to line up a view of the bird, way to go.

I think you've done well here Chuck. Nice head turn that shows off the yellow patch well and your exposure looks good. The setting is slightly jumbled but most of the twigs are OOF and the bird still stands out well. I know what you mean about "drab" weather...
