Please see image below - this is the wrong one.

Another Oystercatcher image from Galveston Bay - here I captured a pair strolling through the flat waters with nice reflections. I'm particularly interested in you thoughts about the reflection of the OOF bird. Since the reflection is on the same plane as the front bird, the reflection is sharp - does this work, or would it be better to soften the reflection.

1D MK4, 600MM + 1.4 TC, 1/800 @ f11, ISO 400
Manual exp., spot metering, Tripod
60% of FF

Commets and critiques greatly appreciated.

I'm sorry, I attached the wrong image - these Oystercatchers all look the same. The large image is the correct shot.

Really like the peaceful nature of this Randy and the mid-stride capture of the front bird. Do you have a shot where the two birds don't overlap?

cheers

I love the lifted leg of the front bird and the nice colors. I don't mind the overlap of the birds but it would be nice if they didn't. I love both reflections and the little ripples in the water.

Real nice pic. Love the colors, well composed, the overlapping does not bother me. I think the reflections of both birds really add to the overall image. Well done.

It's kind of wierd having an apparently sharper reflection of an oof bird, but then it's really not sharper, just more ripples. Besides, I think it balances the image this way.
Fine birds.

Actually I like the smaller image too. Oystercatchers always seem to be in the shallows. It's nice to see one on the wing. But both images are really nice.
