Getting to the time of year when we go to Florida to thaw out. This fellow was sporting his spring finest. Sanibel Island, FL

I find that when I get out ahead of them and lie down most of the beach birds will come by without paying me too much notice.

1D MK IIN 100-400 IS on HH ISO 200 1/500 F 11 Pretty much full frame.

Rick, The bird is showing his finest and you captured it. The ocean background and the shells in the foreground along with the low angle really sets up a great image. Good job.

I like the low pov and the shells. Wish for a catchlight in the eye. Excellent detail everywhere it counts. Sharon

Love those seashells and low angle. I might try lightening up the mid-tones just a bit and maybe leave just a little more room on the right for the bird to move in to.

Lovely detail and light Rick and I like the shelly beach and low angle. You could possibly lighten the eye a little to see if there is a catchlight lurking there.

cheers

Wonderful setting and excellent perspective. Love the shells. Nice detail but I too would like a catchlight in the eye.

Love the colors, seashells and low angle. I would open the crop up a bit more and I wish the head angle was more toward the camera. You might think about "adding" a touch catchlight to the eye with PS.
