The Phoenix Zoo, where this photograph was taken in February, 2010, has several lakes that attract waterfowl. This image was taken with a Nikon D300 and Nikkor 80-400mm f/4.5-5.6D ED VR AF. Camera settings were 1/500s f/5.6 at 400.0mm iso400 in aperture priority mode. The image was cropped and is approximately 75% of the original.

This difficult exposure looks good Jay and I love the colors in the water. Nice reflection and pose. If this were mine I'd work on the halo around the duck.

Really nice light on this, but the halo does detract a little. Exposure looks good, so I'm not sure if your halo is from the s/h tool or from sharpening. I like the smooth water with the rings. By the way, welcome! Hope to see lots more from you! Sharon

Love the sharpness, colors and reflections as well as the water rings. I would Like to see more of the right side of the water rings if they were cropped off.
