Poppin Fresh

One of life's simple pleasures for me is watching a poppy bud open and unfurl. The entire process takes two or three hours and accelerates once the sun hits the bloom full force. I spent a fair amount of my Saturday morning with this little jewel. I especially liked the aberrant colored petal and the unruly anthers. All comments welcome. >=))>

That little petal is so interesting and unusual (at least for me!). This looks great!

Absolutely love it Bill. The choice of depth of field is excellent and I too like the little aberrant colored petal.

I like poppies as well. What you have particularly captured vey well is the textured tissue paper feel of the petals. Excellent lighting to bring out the lucious colours. Superb Bill.

Really gorgeous and an artistic "Dreamy" quality that I love. Very well done Bill!

Bill,
the colors combination and the "creased fabric" give me the idea of a elegant creation of a stylist. In fact nature is always a source of inspiration for mankind. Great work! :toast:

Superb composition wonderful color and detail. Maybe a touch brighter? It probably shows even better in a darker room than my full daylight here now.

Just beautiful Bill.
As opposed to the 'drooping and dripping 2' , this image is a little soft and I wonder what this might look like with a stack?
