Curves and Reflections

An Oldy for me but a favorite. I was washing dishes at the kitchen sink when a soap bubble landed on an air plant on the counter. I quick went for my camera and managed to get a few frames off before the bubble burst.

f4 @1/8 Aper priority 200 ISO tripod with cable

I love this! The curvy lines of the plant complement the bubble so well, the BG colors and soft focus are wonderful, the DOF makes the bubble the center of attention--hey, it's just a great overall picture. Great capture!

When I saw the thumb of this photo I immediately thought "Cheryl Molennor"! I was right!

Very unique image! Love the bubble and the reflections in it with the abstract background. Nice colors too!

This is gorgeous, Cheryl!I love the twisting patterns and the play of color. The soft focus is gorgeous - with just enough perfect focus on that bubble to keep it from feeling like an accident. Wonderful, artistic shot. Masterfully done!

wonderful prismatic effect from the light refracting off the bubble. The softer blue and tan tones echo throughout.

That is one spectacular bubble and the oof curves of the leaves work so well with it's roundness. The amount of iridescence in the bubble is amazing.

When I first looked at this I thought you were going to explain the intricate set-up you developed to create such a wonderful image, and I was all ready with pen and paper to take some notes ... only to discover and marvel over how simple the art of photography can be if only we open our eyes to all sorts of opportunities and grab the moment in time ;^)
