Some pretty great clouds after the storm passed through the Mojave National Preserve on Monday. This was taken about 8-10 miles south of the Kelso Dunes along Kelbaker Road. Fused 3 images in LREnfuse before importing into PSCS4 for some adjustment layers.

1/200, 1/60, 1/20 @ f/22; 16mm; ISO 100; 16-35 f/2.8L; tripod, CP. Canon EOS 5DMk2.

Craig,

Wild sunlit breaking storm sky. I'm a sky fanatic so I really like the image, I know where this spot is but have never been there, surprised there's no Joshua's trees but the other Yucca are nice wonder when they bloom? Just a ramblim' like those clouds, bet they were really movin'

Aptly titled and composed, Craig. That's a great sky.
Your post-processing is also appropriate.

Great sky with a nicely lit foreground. I bet this would also look real nice in B&W. BTW, you have some pretty big dust chunks in the sky.

Thanks for the feedback, everyone.

Harley, Thanks for the heads up on my sloppy QC. I've cleaned up the sky on the files that matter most. In the future, I'll allow more time between the capture and the posting of images. I am working on a B-W version of this (w/o the dust spots) that I'll post soon.

This is a really nice one, Craig. I really like how the clouds and sky dominates the view. There's something about the processing that gives it a faintly surreal look to me (which I like).

Very nice, Craig. I love that sky! I like the different cloud types. It looks like a lonsome and quiet place. I like how the plants help to balance the foreground and give it more substance.
