From the same shoot as my previous post (mid-August) here is a juvenile Common Tern in flight.

f/8
1/2500s
ISO 800

Cropped to 60%, sharpened using smart sharpen and USM, minor adjustments in ACR, noise reduction on BG all in CS5 on 27" iMac

Nice flight image of this (annoyingly) fast and erratic bird.

Very nice flight shot, Luke. I've fund all terns in flight to be tough to photograph because they don't believe in flying in a straight line.

Great view of the underwing detail, and well done getting such a good catchlight in the eye.

Great flight capture, Luke! Getting catchlight for Terns is the key.

Nice image of this tern - nothing to suggest to improve it.

Love it Luke, very graphic looking pose, excellent handling of blacks and whites and what a nice catch light - it just makes the eye pop - well done.
