I was sitting in my hide waiting for red squirrels, who never turned up.However this doe did appear and posed briefly in front of the hide. This is a vertical crop from a horizontal.
Canon 1D MkIV,300+1.4 lens,1/1600 f5.6 and iso800 (set up for the squirrels in the shadier trees and too slow witted to change the settings)

Focus looks a touch more nose than eyes but stunning stuff.

"Too slow witted to change the settings" - you should put that on a T-shirt and market them. I'd buy one as it applies to about 90% of my shots!!!
Lovely portrait - I'd be tempted to do a bit of Photoshop work on the eyes though as they look a little gimlet.

I'd love to have a portrait like this. I think you can pretty easily make the eyes better, and this will be really awesome.

A beautiful animal and a most attractive and detailed portrait. The colourful background is very nice too.
