Still a little too early this year. But here is a photo of blueberry blossoms from a previous spring.

Nicely captured, Dan. I like the echo provided by the bg berry, and the touches of pink are delightful. Might have liked a thinner frame - but that's very minor.

The background really makes the blossom pop. Very nice composition.

I like this as posted Dan, with the exception of the border. I'm having a little trouble telling where the frame ends and the image starts. Excellent detail on the fg subject.

Thanks for the comments. This image doesn't have a frame around it. I never do frames on images (too lazy). I used the black background when I posted. Now edited the OP to make the BG white. I definately agree that it looks better.

Dan:
Like the DOF here and the echo in the bg. Good details in the fg bloom and like the blush of pink. The shadow looks well defined - was a flash used?

I like the comp, too. And we don't have blueberries in Colorado, so this is unique for me. Well done.

Great exposure and dof to show off the delicacy of the flower. Nice work.

Thanks for additional comments. No flash used, early morning light illuminating the bush on the edge of forest with deep shade in BG. Increased contrast in PP to make BG even darker.

In AK we have blueberries of various different varieties everywhere. The blooms are beautiful in spring and are really an attractant for humming birds.

Reminds me of hanging laterns. Like the DOF and colours.
