Grebe courtship display

I was lucky enough to have these two great crested grebes perform right in front of the hide yesterday, after watching the build up over the last week or so. There were a number of display sessions followed by them doing the business and starting to build a nest .. quite a busy day then!

Ah, the rites of spring!
What a great shot! Excellent detail and a good angle.
the whites seem hot from here, so warrant a little more work.
Great luck!

Sounds like you've put in the time and effort, and you've certainly got your reward.Very nice capture indeed.
Whites could be toned down a little.

Very good capture Dave, I've tried many times to capture this behavior, but never managed to bag the shot so very well done.
