It's been a while since I posted here, but I was going through some older files and came across this image, and I don't think I posted it before (If I did then my apologies!).

It's a Lynx on descent from a rocky perch (no, I did not rotate this, he really is going vertical!)

Haven't been shooting anything yet in 2011 ( study takes it's toll here), but i am going too Turkey for some landscapes in April, and after that hopefully back to some wildlife photography! (altough I still need to find a good wildlife spot on a students budget this summer, ideas are welcome!

Cheers, and thanks for looking!

note: (c) means a this is a captive subject

Great timing Jorne! It looks quite surreal the way the lynx seems to be hanging there.

I don't know how he does that without falling! Nice timing, and you did a good job of making it look like he's not captive.

The contrast seems a bit on the heavy side but that is a relative nit on a super capture.

Wow! I thought only Leopards had the ability to climb downward in this way, but this Lynx clearly knows a trick or two itself ;^)

Wonderful image Jorne :^)

Hey Jorne,

Hmmm...I'm tempted to rotate my recent bear post by 90˚ CCW and call it "Bear descending waterfall" (or go CW and call it "Bear climbing waterfall"). Totally kidding...

Wow - that's an amazing "spiderman" move - virtually vertical! I particularly like how the lynx is using its hind legs for support. The techs looks quite good on this one too. Very interesting behaviour and well captured.

Cheers...

Brad

Very cool! Great catch. I might try to bring up the exposure on the face a touch to accentuate it, but obviously it should be darker given the pose.

Thanks for the kind words all!

Paul: I know what you mean, it was my doubt as well, to light it up or not

Brad: I was amazed myself, nature keeps suprising us all! :wavey:
