The light is great as is the action. Ideally it would be better to have more room on the right. If you would have included the techs of the shot it would help in evaluating the image.

Love the colours, detail and full reflection John :^)

As Richard suggests, I think more area in front of the subject would have enhanced this image all the more.

Thanks for the comments. I intentionally cropped image like that, because this bird looks like a pretty girl passed by me but did not bother to turn her head to look at me, haha. Do you have that feeling once in a while? Obviously I failed to convey this feeling to the viewers. Maybe I should go back to crop it to the way I normally would.

Lovely colours and pose here John, altough it is unconventional I like the crop you used here with more room at the back of the Heron then in front. This doenst always work but I feel it does so here! :toast:

Excellent light and colors John. I'll echo what others have said about re-positioning the bird so he has more room in front of it.

Beautiful light John, and the detail looks good. I agree with more room at the front and maybe a less square crop. This might actually look good as a pano if you have enough room in front, leaving the water trail and giving the heron more room to walk into and eliminating the floaters at top by cloning, if that's doable.
