Interesting POV. I like this perspective with the focus on the interesting center curly stems. I am bothered by the out of focus front petal. If that could have been plucked off (maybe not in a public garden!) or even pushed down so the center was definitely the star attraction it may have helped IMO. Lovely colors. Clematis are one of my favorites.

Scott, I like the POV and colour palette. For my tastes a tighter crop would really make it pop.

I love this different POV, the DOF is well done too.

Scott:
Like your choice of DOF here just keeping the center in focus. The wash of soft purple and green around is a very nice as well.

Beautifully done, Scott ! I like the composition and the handling of the varied purplish colours against the green. For me, there's a real feel of the clematis in this image.

I like the unique perspective here. The wash of oof green sets the stage for the petals to carry the eye right to the subject. Well presented.

Scott: Wonderful colors and a fine POF/DOF choice. My only suggestion would be a tiny camera move to the right to clear the center completely from the prominent FG petal on the left but that's a very minor 1¢ tweak to a very fine shot. Bravo.>=))>
