Once in a while during this shoot the gators would snap at a bird. But they were much too fast for them, so the gators fished. This one presented a comp challenge, but I liked the underside view of the gator so much I dealt with it.
What's interesting is that the birds often get within touching distance and still get to walk away.

Wayne, great sharpness and detail and light on the gator! I really like the underside view, too.

I love this image Wayne, very rare to have such an wonderful angleof view :^) What really adds to my enjoyment though, is the seemingly nonchalant demeanor of the Egret as it far too casually walks away from the potential Jaws of Death ;^)

Great shot buddy, thanks for sharing :^)

I most like the texture of the gator in the light and the twist of his body!

Neat gator shot. I like the splashing water, the twisted head, and the curving lines of the body and tail.
