As the plains get ready for spring, I like the subtle colors that start appearing.

I'm with you Dan. The subtle colors of spring are among my favorite subjects. You have added the fine details of the small branches to the subtle tones or red appearing, No nits here.

Nice one Dan. I may prefer a version without the sky, but that's just a personal preference...

Love the various shades of brown and the bare branches. I might crop a little off the top to reduce the amount of sky though.

Very nice shot, particularly the strong vertical lines and the layered composition. Like Jesse and Bill, I think a crop off the top might really help accentuate the elements of the scene that make this work.

I like the contrast of the darker trunks against the pastels of spring Dan.

Dan, I like the way you kept the subtly of the you saw. We see so many photographers blasting the color, contrast, white balance and tint to scene. This really puts the viewer there in a natural way.

Love the subtle colors! I like a bit of the sky to complement the colors. I would crop off the left to take out the very vertical tree, it bothers me at least when everything else kinda has diagonals.

I'm definitely in the minority, but I like the sky as is. A nice light blue for the bare branches to sprawl against. I'd love to see this two or three weeks from now when the first green starts flushing out the trees.

Real nice pastel tones and subtle scene. The dark trunks nicely anchor the composition. Works well, Dan.

This definitely has the "sring" look, very nice work Dan. I think a small crop off the left to remove that one tree would enhance it even more.
