A species that has eluded me and my camera for the past 4 years is the Dartford Warbler - I'm not a twitcher, but it was getting close with this one :smile:

Inspired by Craig's recent image, and a friend who found them at a location I've unsuccesfully visited lots of times previously, we made a very early start yesterday.

After a full day of playing hide and seek, in dull to grim light, this is the best that I achieved from the images I took :jump:

(slight crop for comp and some twigs removed bottom right for presentation).

1D MKIII, 500 f4 + 1.4x, f5.6, 1/200, iso640, gitzo, wimberly & cable release
