Pride of the Desert
by Mohsen Al-Dajani
I went hunting for them this day about 400 km east of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Nothing will survive in the harsh desert except this miracle animal, they cruise our vast desert for days without water, and able to eat the dry plant in the desert very easily. I struggled to follow them over these soft dunes in the afternoon as the wind was very dusty, not until it calm down at the dusk when I was able to pull my 80-200 lens and shoot couple of shots which I will post one after another soon. Everything in their bodies was created for the desert. Camel is our pride in Arabia. Please Enjoy the large version!

13 commentsWhoa - I like this one! Very simple, very subdued, very pleasing composition. This one works for me on a lot of levels - love the low position of the camels in the frame, love the lighting in the sky, love the colour palette. No nits from me - very well done!
Thanks for sharing this beauty!

Absolutely wonderful piece of work; this transcends the realm of photography into the kingdom of art :^)
I love the subtle tones of the landscape and sky and how they starkly contrast with those exceptionally well-formed silhouettes. I also really like the fact that you've captured this shot at a moment when every legs appears unobstructed and well-defiined.
The recognition is richly deserved Moshen, and I'll be looking out for other images you post from now on ;^)
Fine image !
