A lovely image, Bill, and it certainly meets the weekly challenge. Until I
read the information for a moment I thought that I was looking at White
Sands National Monument.

Bill,

If it wasn't your image I'd be thinking White Sands Nat'l Monument. Any Idea on what makes the sand so white? Anyway it's a great image for the challenge.

Paul - northwest Florida is known for their beautiful beaches. The sugar white beaches contrasted against the emerald colored water look great in photos. Unfortunately, they also draw tourons in by the thousands. I seldom visit the beach from spring break through the end of September because it makes me sad to see the way people treat this beautiful area.

unfair advantage, Bill :). Beautiful scene, I like how the ripple lead through the image. There is enough clear sky for the grass to reach into, while still having enough clouds to break up the clear sky.

The white sand is incredible Bill! If I didn't know any better, I would think this is snow. Gorgeous image especially with that blue sky contrasting the white sand.

Bill, this one really is fantastic, which seems to be pretty common for images copyright Enchanted Light Photography! Speaking of which, one of the things that makes this shot so dramatic is the quality of light, even if it doesn't appear to be the stereotypical first or last light of the day. It is a little painful to take this image in after another 10in of snow here on the weekend, but man, you can feel the sand in between your toes on this one and hear the surf and gulls and feel the warmth...it's a great shot that invokes the senses and imagination, and your colours, leading lines and captured texture all combine to make a great shot. Very nicely done.

The white sand looks marvelous set against the cobalt blue sky. A clean and refreshing image Bill.

Very nice, Bill! The ripples in the foreground lead us into the image, and the grasses make a lovely point of interest. The sky seems a bit heavy with that intense blue color - but it doesn't hurt the photo. In fact, the intensity of the sky is a nice counterpoint to the stark whiteness of the sand in the foreground. Beautiful shot!

I was going back through images and stumbled upon this one. Wonderful composition with leading lines and placement of grass withing the frame, well seen and well done, a real beauty, just had to say something about this one, excellent contrast shot with the sand and blue sky.
