An inquisitive scrub hare. Sadly could not do anything about the white feather, or grass echoing the head in the BG

I like it! There's great detail, my eyes were especially drawn to the veins in the hare's ears. Neither the feather or the grass bother me. Great picture!

Gotta love those ears, an amazing physiological feature. Terrific result for hand holding huge glass. I think the oof grass around the head could be carefully blended and make some improvement in the image. OTOH, this is perfectly natural and a great shot as is.

What a magnificent profile shot Steve! I love the way the light has shown up the veins of the subject's ears and the way it's eye appears to be locked so intently on you :^)
I probably would have tried numerous ways to remove or clone out that feather, but most likely would have given up in frustration and ended up leaving it as you have - LOL ;^p

Hi Steve,
So why did you choose a vertical format here? Just kidding...
I think the ears are wonderful - love the light on them and the how the veins/arteries show so well. That eye isn't half bad either. To be honest the feather isn't much of a problem to me, but I do wish the region around the lower part of the head was a little cleaner (and not just the grass echoing the head). But overall still a very pleasing image (and nicely sharpened to boot!).
Cheers...

Thanks everyone.
Brad this was one of many in various formats, just liked this one. Taken about 7.30am this guy should not have been around, easy pickings for one of the large raptors in the area. Yes in an ideal world a bit more clarity at the foot of the image would have been nice, but then that is wildlife I guess.

Aha finally someone at NPN considers the Easter Holidays ahead. Great detail Steve, you know the nits so no need to repeat. Happy Easter.

Hi Steve,
He certainly does appear to be quite alert. The ears are pointed forward but the eye appears to be looking squarely at you. Superb detail as usual.
