Impressive, David. As always, the quality is outstanding. I love the green against the silver gray in the cypress, and the horizontal lines in the rusted steel makes for a nice contrast. This shot has a nice feel too. Nice work.
Looks like most of these cypress swamp images would have to be made from a boat, just wondering if they are?

Nick,,,,thanks for the feed back. This was shot sitting in a kayak with the tripod over the side. I prefer to wade whenever possible, but the bottom was too soft in this spot and I sank in past my knees. Maybe I need to lose some weight.

David, thanks for letting me know. I got a new kayak last year but I'm not so sure that I want to put my camera gear in there with me yet. I might have to try and find one that is more stable  Awesome picture! Nick

The vertical lines of the trees and then horizontals of the steel and water anchor the duck blind in the image. Very nice feel.

What an odd contradiction is the manmade structure against the beauty of the surroundings. A very meaningful image to me about the "hand of man." And another gorgeous image.

Cool image, David.

You do most images wading? Aren't there things in the water that bite and eat you?

Harley,,,,,,,,there are gators and snakes but you just have to be aware and have a healthy respect for them. No different than bears, big cats and rattlers out west.

So you found a semi-abandoned rusted metal structure and you didn't made an HDR... Do you read the papers?
Great color palette! I specially like the reflection on the water.

I really like this image David. The duck blind is an interesting structure with its rust and general ramshackled look. I enjoy the contrasts red/green, manmade/nature. The vegetation on the surface breaking up the reflections give a nice depth to the image.

Another astounding image from the "Swamp Master."
The centered composition works pretty well here but I wonder how it might look with the blind off-centered? Anything preventing you from moving back slightly and panning left?
