Frozen Heart

by Robert Beideman

Gallery: Macro & Close-upPosted April 21, 201160 views3 comments
Captured on the black volcanic sand beach of Jökulsárlón in southern Iceland.

The heart is comprised of grains of volcanic sand resting in a pocket in an iceberg that was beached after attempting to escape from Iceland into the northern Atlantic...

It's a pretty surreal place...a must-visit for every member of NPN...at some point in your lives! Put it on your bucket list!

C&C are hoped for and appreciated...

Thank you for looking,

Robert

Great find, Robert. I like the texture of the ice and the contrast with the dark volcanic sand. That sounds like a fascinating place!

The heart is a fantastic and unusual point of interest, and the background is beautifully detailed. The out of focus ice on the bottom left is a minor distraction. You know I'd love to get there! Someday!
