Taken last June as warm morning light began to create defined shadows on the Painted Hills in Central Oregon. Larger version included. Thanks for looking.

Very nice. I like how the bare region leads you eye to the shadowed slopes. The colors are both exciting and soothing.

This was nice until I looked at the larger version--then the reaction was VERY NICE. Love the colors, texture, lines and mood. Thanks for posting it.

The contrast is strong, but it makes for some nice light shapes in the scene. This works very nicely without the sky, allowing the texture of the land to take center stage.

Really like the woven light and shadow, gives the image an unusual complexity

Some nice light, cool scene! I know the textures in the fg are nice, but i feel they compete with the nicer bg view, so personally i would crop the bottom so the fg horizon line hits the llhc. :wavey:

Very nice image Bruce. The shadows have just the right amount of detail and contrast well against the illuminated hills. Textures, light and form all combine well to create a very pleasing scene.

I love the lighting and the lines it brings out. I like this comp, but Stan makes a good point about a crop from the bottom.

Bruce, this really comes alive in the larger version as it is there that the shadowed areas compliment. Nice! You must be gaining on photoshop skills and revisiting older frames. Well done. Ken S

I like the way you've composed this this, although I might crop just a bit (5%) off the left side. I like the opposong lines and angles, as well as the subtle coloration.
