BC Bulbul … in Profile
by Ashley Vincent
Canon EOS 7D, EF 500mm f/2.8L IS USM + 1.4 TC @ 700mm, Aperture Priority, f/5.6 (1/1250 sec), ISO 640, +1 EV, Handheld, JPG from RAW, Cropped About 45% from Full Frame, Non-Captive Subject
I hadn't actually planned on featuring this shot in the current series, as it was taken well away from the vicinity of Khao Kheow (my local open zoo) at a location close to the beach not far from where we live, however, in light of the comments John and Keith made in the previous thread showing this delightful character, I thought I'd show a decent shot in profile of this Black-Crested Bulbul for their benefit and those of you perhaps also unfamiliar with this species :^)
While I don't always point out every little detail I might have chosen to remove from an image, in this case, seeing as it was quiet prominent in the absence of anything else in the frame, I will mention the fact that I removed an OOF equally bare twig of the same thickness directly above the subject that stretched along a parallel line but reached only two thirds of the width of the frame from the LH side. Can you notice my handiwork, hmmm? No? Great! <phew!> ;^p
Critique and comments always welcome :^)

Keith: "That must be quite a lens" - Yep, nothing quiet like the 500mm f2.8 ...... LMAO ;^p Well spotted my friend; much as I'd love to be shooting with such a lens that was in fact a typo, mine's merely a humble f/4 - LOL ;^)
