Black-necked Grebe

I photographed this Black-necked Grebe on a lovely morning last week, when the sun peeped through the clouds. Comments and critiques are welcome and much appreciated.

I've done this species in winter, but always wanted to do it in summer plumage. Your photo shows why, as John says, its just beautiful.

Great subject, great image.

I love the eye and the ripples in front of the Grebe.

Cheers

Beautiful bird and lovely image!
Great colours, pose, eye, and feather detail.
The little water ripple and water drops are a nice extra touch.

I've only ever seen these super birds at a distance, so what a privilege to get to close and come away with such a super image :toast: :toast:
