This is my "baby" (ReminJac) doing his stretching exercises using Shawnee as a horizontal bar.
Didn't most of you know, that I was going to post some of my horses?

Very nice image. Have you printed this? Looks like it would be a great print. Love the BW processing.

yes, I have printed this on watercolor paper, and it looks awesome! I just love this pose. RJ was very frisky and nimble that day. I have several "agility" pics of him that day! I started to do this in color, then in faded color, and settled on black and white. RJ is a bay...dark brown with a black mane and tail and Shawnee is gray. I wanted to not only bring out RJ's muscles and expression... but I also loved the "basically" BW color contrast between the two. Plus, Shawnee has his own expressions and I this he is very photogenic...
Thanks for looking. I am very happy with how this turned out! I hope more folks will look. even though domestic horses are not wildlife. I'd like more opinions on my processing.

What a wonderful shot! I love horses also and this is a special shot of playful interacting between child and parent--there is such personality showing in this shot. Great comp and looks good in BW. It almost has a painterly look. For my tastes it is a little too overprocessed contrast-wise (BG gets too busy) but we all have our own tastes.

I looked at this again and didn't like the white space above his foot...so away it went. I don't know why I like the background.....maybe it's because I wanted it to look like a pencil/ink drawing. Or maybe it's because I paid so darn much for that sturdy pipe fence But I think it grounds the photo, and I like the contrast of the straight fence and the curve of Shawnee's head and rump

Wow. I missed this somehow. Excellent, Lucy. Looks like a bas relief.

This has an neat feel to it. The black and white treatment works well - and I like your second processing with the little white spot removed. It looked a bit like a second hoof! I think the fence works well to provide a sense of place. The details keep me looking. Very nice!
