Yesterday the trout lilies opened up in the local woods, and the pollinators were eager to greet them. The sunshine looked so nice on the curly petal, I didn't even try to diffuse it.

I chose this shot because of the floer, but I thought the wasp looked pretty cool even though 1/400 sec. was not fast enough to catch it cleanly. I posted another shot in the Macro Gallery that concentrates on an insect on one of these blooms.

Love the mood of this one Wayne as well as the strong composition and the sense of energy the blurred wasp provides. Another one I'd put on my wall in a second.

These flowers are one of my spring favorites. You've done a great job of getting most of the petals and all of the stamen and pistils in focus. The visitor is a really nice addition.
