More fooling around with image in image. This of the Hells Canyon area of the Rogue River in SW Oregon.

The leaves of the currant (?) bush really shine in both levels. I'm not quite as sold on the shadowed hillside, probably because everywhere else in this piece the details are much sharper than there. (okay, that was eloquently stated.) Don't know if you can--or would want to--pull a little more detail out of that part of the image but it distracts me so I thought I'd mention it. The fall colors are excellent.

Sometime I may hit these kind of conditions about 1/2 hour earlier and the sun will just be kissing the tree tops on that hillside. That should do it for both of us. Until...

Perfect, Charlie. I thought the scene was just too pretty to be dampened by the shadow. I really like your 1-in-1 images. Thanks for taking the time to make my day.

Very cool Charlie. I do like the second version better.

Hi Charlie,

Certainly a different take on a landscape. I wonder what this would look like if the top layer were black and white ??? And I also wonder what it would look like if the top layer were more translucent.

Keep up the interesting work.

Cheers,

Carol
