Yeah, you've all been here, done that! It amazes me how much the popularity of this place has soared in less than a decade! I was here in 2003 with a small handful of folks in the tour...now there are hoards of 100s everyday! Crazy. I couldn't even get on the photographer's tour since it was sold out a month in advance. Well, managed to squeeze a few frames on the regular tour, but no time to compose carefully...too many people going in and out.

I thought this crop also worked, but am torn between the 2 images. Let me know your thoughts.

Both are beautiful renditions, Kartick. Phenomenal light.

I'm not torn between the two. I definitely prefer the uncropped version. It's a worthy addition to the many brilliant photos of the location.

I like the original one. The yellow/purple colors add depth to the picture.

Another vote for the uncropped version. You handled the extreme dynamic range very, very nicely here. Just a great shot all around!

i prefer the original, uncropped. too bad that you had to be rushed. i wish the bottom spot light was all in the frame. great curves, textures and colours, nice.

I might recommend cropping out the hot spots on the canyon floor and the hot spot near the top edge of the second shot. The tones inbetween are awsome, but the over-exposed portions pull me away from these areas. I realize it may crop the heck out of the shot.

This is a great photograph Kartik, The first one is perfect as is. Its a pity about the hoards. One thing I like the most about landscape photography is being able to take time to appreciate and relax in the enviroment. After you get the shot of cause.
