I am so darn accident prone this year and it's not very fun. It's costing me money as well. My tripod fell over with camera attached as well as my big lens and my converter. It fell in sand so I wasn't too worried but when I went to get the lens off it won't budge... at all. The whole works are on the way to Canon factory to fix it. What a drag.
So... here is an archive meant to make me happy cause it's only money right?

Just kidding, it's no joke when this kinda stuff happens Cheryl..If it's any consolation, we've all been there..
It's only money as you say..But being without your cam is a real bummer
Barely a month after I'd bought a brand new 300mm f/2.8 (fortunately) on the final day of my last trip to Borneo after one last morning's shoot, I was rushing back to my hotel room with my 300 still attached to my tripod, which was securely balanced on my shoulder (!), to pick up my bag after on the way to the airport when all of a sudden the weight on my shoulder instantly became lighter and a fraction of a second later I heard, "THUNK!" ;^.
Cost me a couple of weeks and a couple hundred bucks, but methinks me learned from that lesson pretty good ;^)
As to the image you've been kind enough to share with us today Cheryl, I love the wingspread and soft textures of those feathers on his chest :^) The neck appears a little hot, but frankly I'm just being picky and it's a shot I'd be proud to call my own ;^)
In the meantime, this is a very lovely image - wonderful flight pose, detail and set off perfectly against the dark BG.
