Jay
Had a pair of these at pool 2 in the field.
Really comical birds when bathing. This one is drying off whilst the mate had a go.

Great image John. The bird is so nicely detailed and his wet feathers give a very comical appearance. Color, perch and background make for a darned great one.

A superb image. I like the detail, the BG, the perch and the pose of the bird. The wet feathers are the cherry on top!

I've seen many Jay shots but seldom has the subject been as cooperative as this one apparently was with you John :^)
I love the wet-look and the detail you've captured is superb. Although this is purely a personal taste thing, I'm not a big fan of square crops; in my mind I see this image appearing better in landscape with an equal amount of extra space on the upper and LH side and a lot more on the right. Just to underline, the subject is perfect the way you've captured it, my only nit it the crop you've chosen, which most others may well love ;^)

Nothing like the wet look to make for an entertaining image, good detail, colors and composition, way to go.

Thanks all . Appreciated.
I haven't put many comments on the avian forum because it would take months ! There are just so many brilliant pieces of work.
I'd just have to comment on 99% of them !!!
I'm too old for that.
Cheers
