Fog on the river

The river was engulfed in a dense fog and the grass which was growing from the boulders seemed to be suspended in the fog. This image was shot on the same day as my earlier post of a sapling on the river. I simply converted it to b/w, slight increase in contrast and no sharpening applied or no other post processing whatsoever. I used the border as the image would appear on a lighter background as it would be difficult to separate the image.

I love the simplicity and ethereal mood here, but I think some post processing actually will help improve things a bit (I'd consider pushing in the white point a bit and maybe add a very slight color cast to make it appear more natural).

interesting minimalism. i agree with pushing the white point a little and cropping a little off the bottom.

I took the feedback and tried pushing the white point and I am a novice on how to bring in a color cast in this one so here it is.

The repost is better, but there still is a band of light gray that is running through the center of the image. You should be able to get rid of that. As for the color cast, you could experiment with some warming and cooling filters to see what the effects will be. This is a very simple clean and attractive image

Simple, minimal & very very elegant, VMR. Repost looks better. Also liked the mild grains in the image.

I like this concept, though I wish just a hint of the boulders was here also. As is, it feels more like the plant is growing out of the water.

I like the repost better. I not completely sold on the vertically centered plant, but I still like the overall effect.
