For You Mom

This is dedicated to my Mom, I miss her greatly.
She taught me what it means to give..
That selfless sacrificial love that Moms around the world are famous for.
There are times when we forget just how special Mother's are..
Love them while you can. They do so much..

So true Howard and what a nice post to complement those words.

Even in this moment of affection the mother seems to be putting her young one's safety first, watching you with a wakeful eye. And I undertand her if you were pointing that cannon of yours at her

Nice moment and captured emotion. Beautiful subdued colors and nice dof keeping the deer and the grass in focus while hinting at some of the habitant in the back.
A minor thing - The yellowish blob in the upper left is a bit distracting to me. Could maybe consider cloning it?

So, so true Howard, proves how life is so fragile and how we take things for granted until we loose it.

Personally i would like a little more room around the subject, it's just a little too tight for me. I do like the interaction and the mother looking at you. Good detail, but the glossy muzzle is a nice touch. An image that could have inspired Disney.

A very endearing sentiment Howard and an equally endearing photo.

Johan - You're right about the orange left corner top, so I removed it..

Stephen - I would love to give this more room, just didn't have it here.

A beautiful mother's day image Howard, very touching. You did well separating them from the BG. Johan brought up a very good point about that yellow spot.

Howard:
The title and comments are very fitting for your image of this intimate scene. I like Johan's comment about the wakeful eye and putting her young one's safety first. I, too, like the colors and DOF and wonder which lens you were using and what settings were used. :toast:

Howard, this is an endearing image for any occasion, but especially for Mother's Day. Very well captured.
