Hey,
I shot this along Lake Tahoe's eastern shore a few years back. One of the most peaceful mornings I've experienced. Recently reprocessed it, and was wondering what were your thoughts. larger version included., thanks.

I like it Chris, but that rock on the left that is half out of the screen causes me to get stuck in that area. The light is nice and handled well with your processing. The first group of rocks are well placed in the scene

Thanks James. I have a horizontal that I moved to the left and composed more to the right. It doesn't have the rocks on the left edge. I think in the end, I like it better for it's simplicity, and zen like qualities. It doesn't have the transparent foreground like this one though. looking at this here, I think it could use a bump in saturation too. It was an intense pink and blue earth shadow for the horizontal. I didn't make this comp until the light and color had started to go. I did however, just recently sell a 16x20 print of this image! Thanks again.

This has a calming quality to it. I think a bit simpler comp would work better. Congrats on the sale. :toast:

Chris, I really like the light and feel with this. The soft colors are very nice too. I like this foreground too, but I do agree with James about the rock on the left side which you have already talked about. Very pretty, and hey, you already sold one! :toast:

Not much to complain about Chris. I do see how the rocks to the left break balance but hey.
You nailed the light and technical side of things. Glad your moving your work out

Thanks for sharing

Perfect composition in terms of the placement of the line of rocks in the image...creates a great break between transparency and reflection.

Would also love to see the horizontal comp you mentioned...

Love the pastel colors and the details of the submerged rocks, Chris. Excellent composition in my opinion. Beautiful image.

Hey Chris, this is a very sweet capture--one that I don't think will register a ton on the gallery hit-o-meter, but a soft, warm feel that I like so much. While the term "painterly" image is maybe overused, I think it under-appreciated in general in photography now with HDR, high-res/high-saturation, extreme sharpness, etc.--but that's just IMHO!! As long as the sales roll in, I'll take that over views every time! :toast:

I like the clarity in the foreground and subtle pastel colors Chris. The overall comp works very well.

I've been meaning to get up to this place, even planning a trip that I canceled the day of (due to weather) last November after scheming to shoot this under the light of the full moon. I really like the hints of texture on the water and the overall color scheme. It all makes for a very pleasant scene.
