The iris are really in full bloom behind our house now. Went out yesterday morning to take advantage of it before the winds hit today.

Cory: I don't recall you posting here before so welcome to the finest Flora gallery on the planet. Really good call on the diffuser. I like your DOF/POF choice especially and the OOF echo in the BG. Great to have you aboard and looking forward to more.>=))>

Really beautiful. While I like this as is, an alternative comp is to crop some off the top, to just above the yellow is the rear flower. Not sure why. I guess just to put more emphasis on the beautiful main flower and to reduce some of the empty space in the ULC. Just a suggestion, for what it's worth, if anything. Either way, this is superb.

Beautiful image Cory. Love the light and your dof decision. I like this very much as posted but I also like Scott's alternative comp suggestion. I think this is the first of your images I've commented on, I hope it won't be the last. Very fine work.

Gorgeous image with lovely soft feel. Aptly chosen DOF. Loved the presence of its blurred twin in the backdrop.
Nice 'seeing' & a fine capture.

Excellent shallow depth of field shot. I like that "light" feel to this shot with low contrast and the lovely rendition of the background and surroundings. A very pleasing rendition of the Iris

I very much like your DOF choice, with the foremost petal being tack sharp and the rest dissolving into softness. It definitely reminds me of a watercolor painting. I don't really have any suggestions, other than to post more often
