Salad

Have spent a week scouring the fields around us. I noticed that the hunters were out before the season opened, looking for where the deer appear from the forest.
Choices are easier now as most feilds are ploughed and the deer and hares are sticking to the wild areas, grass seems to be better than crop. So having found my field I spent the last few evenings there. This was the first and only hare to come close enough.

7D, ISO 400, 500 f4 IS.

I am always a sucker for hare shots, and seeing one actually eating is a bonus. I think I would have cut off a little more of the back of the animal, so that the eyes had a little more room to stare into, but no big deal.

Neil: I guess that's why they call it rabbit food here in the states. Nicely done.>=))>

Outstanding portrait. You could play around with the crop - perhaps leaving more space at the top for a cover shot title.

Sorry about the frame, I must have clicked black for BG which I usually prefer but here white would be good

Cheers guys, it is about as close as I ever came to a hare, my field craft is improving :)
