Welcome to NPN Neil. Very nice first post. I really enjoy the hues of blue and the movement of the water over the rocks.
Well done!

Welcome to NPN Neil. Great looking first post. Those are some angry looking waves and I like the added motion of the two rocks picking up the current. Looking forward to seeing more images soon...

Welcome to NPN!! I like the perspective of your composition here with excellent action in the waves. I like that you retained detail in the waves as it really portrays the power of the ocean. On my monitor the brightest highlights in the sky look a little blown out but that could just be my monitor. It might be worth trying to tone those down a little.

Welcome! I really like the mix of textures between the waves/clouds and the lines in the foreground water - nicely done. Some of the sky looks a bit blown out perhaps?

Neil - The 2 splashes on thos FG rocks make this image unique for me. Maybe a hot spot or 2 in the sky that could be toned down a hair. Looks like the ocean to me! Nice work. Welcome aboard

Neil,
Welcome to NPN and the Landscape/ESS Gallery! Glad to have you join us and we look forward to more images and for your participation in the galleries and forums.
This is a very nice beach scene and seascape. Like the others I really like the water splashing over the rocks. I also like the proportion of sky, surf and sand. This is a solid composition.
The only real critique I have is the color. The clouds are little purple/blue to me. So perhaps some color work with this would fix that. Oh, also a bit of lens distortion on the horizon, but fairly easily fixed too.
Nice first post. Jump right in and don't be shy about posting comments on other's images as well.

Great catch with the splashes in the foreground and the nice lines from the waves. The upper right of the frame does have some hot spots that attract too much attention.
